Tips to maximise the lifespan of your Spa / Swim Spa

Set aside about ten minutes to inspect the spa and its parts every week. Take off the cover, look around for debris and dirt floating in the water. Remove any debris with a kitchen sieve or a skimmer. This practice prevents dirt from clogging the spa pump.
Test your water regularly. The smell or colour of the water can tell you a lot about the condition of the spa. The chemical balance may be incorrect, in which case testing the water with a test strip to determine where the imbalance may be is suggested. You may need to use certain chemicals / products to restore the balance. If you’re unsure, it’s best to call our team or pop by our Wollongong store as you may need to purchase chemicals, new filters, or have a professional/technician assist you.
Inspect the filters regularly and rinse them. If you feel that they’re dirty, you can soak them in a filter cleaning solution, and clean them to help remove dirt and grime that can affect the spa / swim spa’s performance.
Always cover up. Make sure your spa cover is on every time your spa or swim spa is not in use, this will help stop debris entering your water, and help keep your family and pets safe by ensuring the lockable cover is on and locked when not in use.
Before covering up the spa, make sure you wipe down or wash off any debris or dirt on your spa or spa cover, along with scooping out any debris that may have entered the water while in use.
